Former president Rupiah Banda will be charged with a second offence is a series of trumped up charges prepared against him.
So far, Banda is in court over one relating to the Nigeria oil deal. Today, the group persecuting Banda warned and cautioned him over the acquisition of the controversial Baobab land.
Banda arrived at the DEC offices in a tinted silver Toyota Land Cruiser V8 with GRZ 639 CJ number plate, to appear before a team of investigators at 1050 hours during which a warn and caution statement was recorded.
Among Banda supporters was his son, Andrew. The former diplomat made his way in the the DEC offices. Banda left the DEC offices at around 12:00 hours with his lawyers.
“Mr Banda was interrogated under warn-and-caution acquisition of the Baobab land,” GJIT spokesperson, Namukolo Kasumpa said shortly after the interrogation.
