Police Outfit, Nkwazi, Gets Rid of Trainer Mutapa

MutapaSuper Division side Nkwazi Football Club has dismissed coach Oswald Mutapa barely five weeks after the commencement of the league.

Mutapa who masterminded the police outfit’s return to the topflight has shockingly been shown the door after managing two wins, a draw and three losses.

“Be informed that Nkhwazi Executive Committee Football Club has terminated the Services of Osward Mutapa as head coach for the club together with his Assistant Coach Kelvin Kanyanta,” read the statement media officer Levy Lilanga.

“The termination of their services was resolved at the club Executive Committee meeting which was held on Monday, 29th April, 2013 after noticing their unsatisfactory performance.”

The club stated: “The club Executive Committee observed with dismay that out of the six games the team had played, it has only managed to aquaire seven points instead of 18 points translating into a 38% win. Therefore, the executive has described the performance as unacceptable as its desire is to be a goal oriented one to keep the team fly high.”

The club appointed have since Davis Musole who will be assisted by Lameck Nyangu.
Nkwazi lies 10th on the log with seven points and were 2-1 winners away to Forest Rangers over the weekend.

Mutapa becomes the second coach to be shown the exit door after bottom placed Lime Hotspurs sacked Mathews Njobvu.
