Opposition Patriotic Front cadres this morning disrupted business at the town centre area as they manhandled opposition Movement for Multi-party Democracy youth wing chairperson Bowman Lusambo.
Lusambo was in town awaiting party president Nevers Mumba who was due to take a tour of Kanyama Market.
The cadres manhandled him and threatened to kill him as well wishers whisked him away to the police.
PF youth chairperson Kennedy Kamba confirmed saying the ruling party youths were afraid that Lusambo and Dr Mumba would incite the people of Kanyama by talking about subsidies.
“My youths are demonstrating and they are not happy that MMD youths Lusambo and Kadobi wanted to take a bus ride to Kanyama to tour the market. We told them to be careful because we are watching whatever they are doing,” said an unremorseful Kamba.
Earlier, another group of PF thugs attacked Muvi TV journalists who had gone to cover a story of land invasion where they were illegally taking over of piece of land belonging to its rightful owner.
