Kalusha Praises Zambia for Namibia Goalless Draw

Fussball International FIFA Task Force Football 2014With three weeks before Zambia returns to World Cup duty, Herve Renard’s local boys who are seeking to make part of the June qualifiers settled for a goalless draw against Namibia.

FAZ president Kalusha Bwalya, in London after watching the UEFA Champions League between Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund at Wembley, was happy with the draw.

“And in Windhoek, Namibia 0-0 Zambia Developmental Team finished match . Good result. Heard only positives about our performance,” he stated on his official twitter account.

The 2012 African champions will face Lesotho on June 8 and later on June 15 tackle Sudan in the Brazil 2014 World Cup qualifiers with both matches set for Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola.

Zambia has not lost a game to Namibia in 10 games winning five and drawing the rest. Chipolopolo recently beat Zimbabwe 2-0 in another friendly at Nkoloma Stadium.

The Zambians are currently leading their pool for the World Cup qualifiers with seven points after three matches while rivals Ghana are second with six points. Lesotho has two points while Sudan are bottom on one point.
