For a man like Father Frank Bwalya who spent more than a decade in the seminary and the pulpit studying and preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ, he must be familiar with 1 Peter 5:8 saying; “Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour.”
There is no better way to describe the attack Fr Bwalya endured at Flava fm on Wednesday when PF militiamen stormed the booth as he featured on a live programme to flash him out. Fr Bwalya may not be a model because he participated to installing the devil in power but not when his rights are violated in broad day light when Zambia is a democracy.
What happened at Flava Fm was an act of the devil, he has sent out his chibuku inebriated demons to devour his real or perceived enemies and Fr Bwalya – a former darling of the PF – is one of the targets.
Fr Bwalya’s only trangression against Sata is to speak his mind, express himself freely at whatever fora as a leader of a newly formed political party called Alliance for a Better Zambia. As a civil society activist before the Patriotic Front assumed office, Fr Bwalya made several appearances on radio and public meetings but was never dipped in packets of opaque beer. He slit chickens in the name of the red card campaign but he was never dehumanised to this extent.
And for the cause he passionately drove along the PF, the best payment he gets is not only insults of him being mad but further ‘baptism’ in opaque beer. Chishimba Kambwili and George Chellah aka Saviour Nsofwa kayula were very excited to hear Fr Bwalya was batptised in opaque.
But there is no difference between the devil in 1 Peter 5:8 the bible is referring to and Sata. The characteristics of the devil in this passage are being manifested by Sata at State House. This is why Zambians must stay alert. Sata’s demons are roaming our streets with all sorts of weapons to harm us. We therefore need to protect ourselves at whatever cost.
Can you imagine the devil himself sent that poor lady at the Law Association of Zambia (LAZ) Sephilile Mwila to a deathbed. Thank God she survived with the help of angels around her. How can the entire Head of State call a private citizen to defend criminals like Mutembo Nchito? Is there nothing to do at State House? It seems so.
And the only thing or the best he can be seen to be working is talking about dry lawns, bald heads and calling poor citizens carrying out their duties professionally to intimidate. Shame on Sata, a dull and clueless President who is a dummy in State House.
It actually explains why an idle mind becomes the devils workshop. Don’t go any further. Get it from Sata.
And when you are a President as idle as Sata, you not only become the workshop of the devil, but the devil himself. This is why he gets the time to throw tantrums at a poor defenceless women like Mwila. Why can’t he call Fr Bwalya? Why not call Hakainde Hichilema? Why not call Dr Nevers Mumba? Why not call Lucky Mulusa? Why can’t he call Mike Mulongoti? All these are after Mutembo’s criminal activities.
He can’t call them. This devil is scared of meeting his kind even through telephone calls. He is not man enough. He is such a coward. This is why he is sending demons fed on chibuku to attack his opponents. Someone must cast these demons out of Zambia. Ours is not a place for demons, it can’t and will never be a safe haven for the devil.
If PF will not stop these chibuku demons from attacking politicians and those opposed to the ruling party, they should be cleared from the face of the earth. That is why citizens must arm themselves with the full armour of the Lord to overcome these demons and their ruthless master.
Just in case Sata listens or his press assistant George Chella aka Saviour Nsofwa Kayula has time off facebook to pass on a note, here is one from the United Party for National Development (UPND) media.
Ours is not to interpret why Frank Bwalya is going against the same party he put into Government, ours is to simply side with him when it comes to violation of his rights. We are not an exception to the violation of rights by the PF, this is why we find it appropriate to sympathise with Frank Bwalya.
We condemn in the strongest words the methods being used by PF to address those with divergent views. For us Frank Bwalya is an eloquent speaker, who is not provocative. Frank Bwalya speaks to issues, and as a clergy man or former clergy man however one wants to label him, we believe that he stands for the truth.
Like his counterpart Gabriel Mwanamwalye observes, there is nothing sinister about a catholic priest being in a politics. Jean Betrand Aristide the former Leader of Haiti was a former priest. There is therefore nothing sinister about Frank Bwalya being in full time politics as long as his church has accepted this position and he and the church are at peace with each other.
The anger expressed by Kambwili the day Frank Bwalya appeared on Let the People Talk, says one thing; that the PF is behind this pursuit of violence that is why their leaders are the last to condemn these barbaric acts. Well for us we would like to state that we condemn violence and it’s off shoots irrespective of who is perpetrating this violence. For us this shows that people cannot reason, thus taking violence as a way of resolving their differences.
The PF have several mouth pieces including the once independent Post Newspaper, why can’t they counter Frank Bwalya in their newspapers. Let us fight to maintain peace and not the other way round PF. Today it will be Frank Bwalya tomorrow it will be someone else, please let us preach peace and co-existence wherever we are.
