Opposition political parties have condemned the attack on Alliance for a Better Zambia President Father Frank Bwalya by some suspected Patriotic Front (PF) cadres in Kitwe yesterday who poured opaque beer on him at Flava FM where he was due to appear on a programme.
Speaking to QFm News today, NAREP President, Elias Chipimo Junior, says it is worrying that attacks by PF youths on innocent people seem to be on the increase.
Chipimo says what is even more worrying is that President Michael Sata has never issued any apology following many of such attacks.
The NAREP leader adds that this is a clear indication that the president is in support of these attacks.
And People’s party president Mike Mulongoti has appealed to the Patriotic Front administration to stop being intolerant to people with divergent views.
Mulongoti has expressed concern with the treatment of Father Frank Bwalya by the suspected Patriotic Front cadres.
Mulongoti stresses the need for all political parties to embrace each other and foster peace and unity at all times.
Meanwhile, Zambia Youth Association in the Fight Against Corruption, Executive Director, Rickson Kanema, says it is unacceptable for the PF to continue attacking innocent people.
Kanema has questioned if democracy in the country under the PF really exists.
