The merry go round in Kabwe based freelance journalist Wilson Mpondamali‘s court case has continued with yet another adjournment.
Mpondamali who is charged with malicious damage to a police vehicle and attempted escape from lawful custody wrote on his social network facebook that he did not expect his accusers to pitch up at court.
Mpondamali is one of three journalists being linked with the popular online publication Zambian Watchdog.
“I appeared before the honorable magistrate in Kabwe facing charges of ‘malicious damage to police vehicle and attempted escape from lawful custody’,” he said.
“I so much wanted to see any one of my accusers in court but there seemed to be none, and am sure they never came.”
He said, “Matter adjourned to 13th September for commencement of trial. I am on the other hand appearing on 30th September, 2013 for ‘theft and unlawful possession of military stores’ Ii is like every two weeks I will be in the court premises.”
