The Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation had to pull off a live Radio programme featuring opposition People’s Party President Mike Mulongoti saying it was not balanced after sports Minister Chishimba Kambwili failed to pitch up for the widely publicized programme.
A similar programme aired on Tuesday featuring Justice Minister Wynter Kabimba and Heritage Party President Brigadier General Godfrey Miyanda where the PF Secretary General was torn to pieces.
Barely 20 minutes into the programme after the host announced that Kambwili had excused himself, ZNBC pulled off the show saying it was unbalanced.
“This Morning’s show has been pulled off ZNBC Radio after Hon Chishimba Kambwili informed us 5 minutes before the show that he was not going to feature on the show due to his brother being involved in an accident,” posted the organizers of blogspot Cross Fire.
“Mr Mulongoti was already in the ZNBC Studios and we decided that it was only fair that we go ahead ahead . 20 minutes into the show we were informed the show was being pulled off air. We sincerely apologise for this occurrence to our listeners”
Mulongoti was just settling in after raising questions on how the PF government fell in love with China after having been stern critics whilst in opposition.
The outspoken People’s Party President also said it seemed the PF version of creating jobs was menial and not well paying quality jobs.
Mulongoti is a former PF sympathizer but opted out after he said the ruling party had reneged on their campaign promises.
