Warring Patriotic Front cadres this morning needed the hlep of police to be separated as they clashed again at the district office in the city centre.
Cadres allegedly loyal to defence minister Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba locked the Patriotic Front Lusaka District office shutting out the Wynter Kabimba faction for a week.
However, the Kabimba loyalists yesterday went to the office with a grinder attempting to force their way in but found themselves trapped by the rival faction who chased them.
Confusion engulfed the city centre until the Zambia Police emerged to disperse the cadres leaving the security officers to man the place.
Last week, the two factions bloodied each other in an intra party fracas that saw property at Northmead Basic School damaged while some individuals were severely wounded.
