The Wynter Kabimba presidential aspiration has continued with the Patriotic Front Secretary General once again having to defend himself from allegations that he is eyeing the top post in the 2016 general elections.
Kabimba was forced to clarify calls by North Western Province PF political secretary Pastor Mwilu who added a new twist to the debate by saying Kabimba should the sole candidate for the 2016 polls under the ruling party ticket.
Pastor Mwilu said Kabimba was the right candidate to succeed President Sata.
Kabimba said he was suspicious of Mwilu’s endorsement as he suspected the PF official was part of the members that wanted him ousted a few days ago.
“I do not think that man (Mwilu) is genuine because he was part of the people that wanted me ousted just a few days ago. So what has changed. I will say again that I do not have presidential ambitions,” he said.
Kabimba has incessantly been linked to the hot seat with never dying claims that President Sata may not contest in 2016 on medical grounds.
