Police in Kitwe have arrested five Patriotic Front cadres for attempting to lock up the office of Kitwe City Council administrative officer Wisdom Bwalya.
The PF cadres who have become notorious for lawlessness in the last few weeks accused Bwalya of not pulling the ruling party line in his duties and demanded his dismissal.
As they attempted to lock up his office the police came on the scene and managed to apprehend five who they have since locked up at Kitwe Central Police.
Among the arrested are Charles Kabwata, Stanley Chanda, Michael Chileshe and Francis Salim.
In Lusaka the cadres on Tuesday locked up offices at the party secretariat as they sought to surge on their anti Party Secretary General Wynter Kabimba crusade.
