The Electoral Commission of Zambia has postponed the Zambezi West and Vubwi Constituency by-elections following the prolonged court challenge.
The nominations for the two by-elections were initially lined up for December, 10 but with the court action pushed to December, 17 the by-elections will have to wait longer.
The elections of UPND’s Charles Kakoma and MMD’s Vubwi MP Eustackio Kazonga whose polls were successfully petitioned by Christabel Ngimbu and Vincent Mwale respectively had been set for January 22 but the Electoral Commission has announced the postponened until the judicial process is exhausted.
