STATEMENT BY HON. MWANSA KAPEYA, MP, MINISTER OF INFORMATION AND BROADCASTING SERVICES AND CHIEF GOVERNMENT SPOKESPERSON ON THE DEATH OF HEALTH DEPUTY MINISTER PATRICK CHIKUSU, MP, AT SOUTH AFRICA’S MILPARK HOSPITAL AFTER AN ILLNESS
Government regrets to inform the nation that Health Minister Hon. Dr Patrick Chikusu, MP. is dead.
Dr Chikusu died last night at Milpark hospital in South Africa where he was evacuated after suffering a heart attack.
He had earlier been admitted to Corptic Hospital in Lusaka for a heart problem before being evacuated to South Africa for specialist treatment.
The nation will be advised on the details of the funeral arrangements in due course.
Death has robbed the nation of a patriot who rendered selfless service as an eminent medical practitioner, politician and servant of the people.
