People’s Party President Mike Mulongoti says the Patriotic Front government was their biggest enemy by failing to deliver on their campaign promises.
Mulongoti said the recent turn around on the constitution was one of the routine broken promises that the people would make their say during the next elections.
He said having campaigned with the PF during the run up to the 2011 elections he was appalled by the rate at which promises have been broken.
“The PF has created problems for itself because of their inability to honour promises. They have failed to create jobs, give the Zambian people a constitution, fuels prices are high, they have removed subsidies and I can tell that the opposition in Zambia is not in political parties but the people that feel the pain of these broken promises,” Mulongoti said.
“They are intransigent if you listen to the way they talk. They are very hostile towards one another. I stood with them during campaigns and heard them right when they made those promises.”
