Erratic Sata Throws Up over Constitution Promise

President-Sata-Bwalya-Ngandu-4President Michael Sata’s erratic behaviour was on show again at State House while he swore demoted Bank of Zambia Deputy Governor Bwalya Ng’andu as Works and Supply Permanent Secretary.

Barely a few hours after the critical online publication Zambian Watchdog shamed his government that has been refusing to release the draft constitution to the public, President Sata said he did not know anything about the constitution as Zambia already had a constitution in place.

The volatile minded Head of State who is still reeling from the shock of the draft constitution being made public while he continued keeping under lock and key the 10 copies that he authorized to be released to himself.

President Sata has demoted Ng’andu from his lofty portfolio as BOZ number two to the Ministry of Works and Supply.

“Go and tell them that you took oath under the constitution. We have a constitution and we have had six elections over this constitution so the people who are talking of the constitution, we don’t know about it,” he said catching the officials at Ng’andu’s demotion ceremony at State House unawares.

President who was a former lead crier for the constitution whilst in opposition has become the number one critic of the long sought after law by the Zambian populace.

President Sata has for the second time also fired Post Newspapers editor Fred M’membe and Director of Public Prosecutions Mutembo’s plant Bernard Chiwala as Works and Supply Permanent Secretary.

Chiwala was fired as Director General of the Road Development Agency before his handlers solicited for his appointment as Permanent Secretary.
