Solicitor General Musa Mwenye has testified in the Judge Evans Hamaundu led tribunal saying he rendered the expert opinion to Justice Minister Wynter Kabimba as a government functionary.
Mwenye said that if he had known that Kabimba was going to use the opinion for the ruling party he was not going to render it.
He said that he offered the opinion on the understanding that it was being rendered to Kabimba in his capacity as Justice Minister.
Mwenye said the opinion was not classified but generally on the nullification of seats.
He said that the legal opinion that was copied to PF lawyers and also the Chief Justice.
The tribunal has been adjourned to tomorrow.
Former Solwezi Central Member of Parliament Lucky Mulusa and civil rights activist Brebner Changala petitioned the Chief Justice over the alleged breach of secrecy of oath.
