GBM JoyOut-of-favour Patriotic Front Kasama member of parliament Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba commonly known as GBM this morning turned to scripture counting it all joy after he was summoned to appear before police for investigations.

GBM, the former defence minister, is under investigations on corruption allegations in what many view as vindictive after he quit his government post.

He posted a biblical scripture on his facebook page from James 1:2-4 stating, “My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.

“But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing”.

GBM supported the scripture saying, “Whatever life throws at you, count it all joy because it is a passing phase. Have a great day ahead.”

Police summoned the lawmaker for an interview on Wednesday, February 5.

The Zambian Voice, a justice advocate, is surprised that GBM is summoned for question.

Zambian Voice executive director Chilufya Tayali says “What is surprising at this stage is that GBM is being summoned to police after his resignation.

“If he had not resigned, would he be called to the police? How many more ministers in PF need to appear before the police?

“Certainly people [like] Wynter [Kabimba], [Bob] Sichinga, [Emmanuel] Chenda, [Edgar] Lungu and others may have to visit the cop shops if only our President meant to rule this Country by the 10 commandments.

“May be he too and his son Mulenga Sata could visit the police headquarters.”
