A youth Non Governmental Organization has advised President Michael Sata to clearly state what his direction is on the long sought after constitution.
Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) board member Amos Mwanza said the President’s statement that people calling for a new constitution should be ignored was baffling coming from a man whose demand for a people driven constitution was his daily bread whilst in the opposition.
Mwanza said President Sata was giving politics a bad name as Zambians would begin to believe that political leadership was all about telling lies.
He said President Sata had postured as a constitutional advocate in his opposition days but was proving the worst leader Zambia was going to have.
Mwanza said President Sata should plainly tell the nation through a press conference that he had completely done away with the new constitution so that Zambians exercise their right to recall him in 2016.
President Sata on Wednesday stunned the nation when he said any talk about the new constitution should not be entertained and should be ignored.
