The case involving the controversial Lower Zambezi National Park Mining project has been adjourned to March 5 ex-party hearing.
When the matter came up in the Lusaka High Court today, the Attorney General’s office sought an adjournment saying the notices had not been served on time to them.
Six civil society organizations obtained an injunction against Zambezi Mineral Resources mining in the national park.
The environmental rights groups have opposed Lands Minister Harry Kalaba’s decision to allow mining activities in the Game Park arguing that it goes against environmental and heritage norms.
Curiously Tourism Minister Sylvia Masebo has also opposed Kalaba’s stance that is deemed a government position.
