The noose is tightening on Tourism Minister Sylvia Masebo with Attorney General Mumba Malila saying the under probe Chongwe lawmaker was wrong to cancel the tender for Safari Hunting Concession.
Malila who was testifying before the Judge Rhoydah Kaoma tribunal said Masebo had no powers to fire the Zambia Wildlife Authority directors.
The Attorney General also said contrary to Masebo’s claims that foreign aircraft were secretly entering the country airlifting wildlife there was no such undertaking.
Masebo is expected to testify tomorrow at the tribunal that commenced sittings last week.
Former Tourism Minister William Harrington has petitioned the Supreme Court to investigate Masebo for alleged breach of parliamentary and ministerial code of conduct.
