The 48 wrongly dismissed nurses at the University Teaching Hospital have gone for four (4 months – November 2013 to February 2014) without salaries since they were dismissed in November last year 2013.
The 48 nurses were wrongly removed from the payroll in the aftermath of the strike that took place at the institution. Most of the nurses are wondering as to why it has taken the UTH this long to solve the mistake they created.
We hope that the UTH management and the Ministry of Health will hasten the reinstatement of the affected workers – some who are still reporting for work.
