The case in which former Republican President Rupiah Banda is charged for concealing gratification failed to take off today in the Lusaka Magistrates Court with lawyers citing preliminary issues.
Banda is accused of stealing 10 trucks that were allegedly registered in the names of son James Banda and two others.
When the matter came up before magistrate Obbister Musukwa, prosecution lawyers asked for the counsels for both parties to recede to the chambers to clarify some issues over one witness from the Chinese firm that allegedly gave out the 10 trucks.
The matter has since been adjourned to March 19 for continued trial.
