Father BwalyaAlliance for a Better Zambia president Father Frank Bwalya says President Sata had insulted Zambians by saying those calling for the constitution were yapping.

Fr Bwalya said there were signs of confusion in the PF government as President Sata had diluted the spirit of Justice Minister Wynter Kabimba’s call for dialogue on the constitution by pouring scorn on the process.

“The description of people demanding for a people driven constitution as yapping is an insult to all Zambians that are demanding for a people driven constitution.

“It is an insult to civil society organizations, it is an insult to church leaders, and it is an insult to all Zambians,” he said.

“We are very shocked that the president can continue to insult Zambians in this manner.”

He added: “Ironically the president has also said something that affects him because he has been talking even demanding a people driven constitution before 2011 and this is why he promised a people driven constitution. Is he telling us that he was also yapping and now he has stopped yapping? “

Fr Bwalya said: “This is very strange, we do not really understand what is going on in PF just a few days ago Mr Wynter Kabimba as Justice Minister called for dialogue and consensus between the opposition and the PF.”
