Mwebantu,
In Lusaka’s Marapodi Compound, tragedy struck; As a little girl was crossing a make-shift bridge, she fell into the stream & was swept away by a very huge current.
Seconds into the tragedy, a phone call was made to the Fire Department or so called Fire Brigade.
The man on the other end of the line rudely told the locals that it was not his responsibility in such events–the girl drowned & died.
In the Czech Republic, a Zambian student was found floating dead in a river, calls were made for the body to be repatriated back home by the relevant authorities. And the answer was it is not the responsibility of the State.
In both instances – it is Zambians at home & abroad only that everyone in-charge claims it’s not their responsibility. If the state runs away from such tasks, whose responsibility is it then?
There is a big problem with Africans!
