Labour Minister Fackson Shamenda has made a belated reaction to President Michael Sata’s one minute address to workers on Labour Day by saying that the Head of State was saving workers time.
Shamenda said the President’s one minute act was a ‘powerful’ message that was memorable to the workers.
He said the President was promoting the more work and less talk doctrine.
President Sata’s one minute act at the Freedom Statue on Labour Day stunned the workers who had gathered all morning waiting for him to address them and give government direction on labour matters.
The Head of State decreed that there would be no speeches leaving the minister and labour leaders shocked as they had travelled with prepared speeches.
Shamenda said the President had delivered a very powerful message that was ‘inspirational’ to workers.
