ZNBC director general Chibamba Kanyama has officially quit the national broadcaster confirming a series of Zambia Reports news over the last one month.
Kanyama has confirmed heading to the International Monetary Fund, IMF, as a communications advisor.
Zambia Reports has recently carried reports that Kanyama, an accomplished media personnel was due to leave ZNBC due to for among other reasons frustrations and accusations he was a UPND cadre.
The former Zambian Breweries corporate affairs boss has also clashed with President Michael Sata’s press aide George Chellah who has even sent him disrespectful text messages.
Last week, Zambia Reports reported Zambia’s deputy ambassador to China Joe Chilaizya is on his way to the United States in the same capacity.
Chilaizya is taking over from Ben Kangwa who is returning to Zambia to take over as Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation (ZNBC) Director General following Chibamba Kanyama’s impending resignation to join World Bank.
In this case, Kangwa is expected to take over his position.
