Mukwita-KapataPetitioner in the Sylvia Masebo tribunal, William Harrington, has urged Tourism Minister Jean Kapata to re-instate the fired five Zambia Wild Life Authority Board Members.

Harrington has also asked Kapata to restore the cancelled hunting licences as per Judge Rhoyda Kaoma findings.

He said that the tribunal found that the then minister had no powers to fire the five board members and hence the need to re-instate them.

Harrington also said the tribunal also found that the hunting licences were illegally cancelled.

He said communities that benefitted from such tourism activities were now suffering from the lack of income from tourism.

The Judge Rhoydah Kaoma tribunal had been set up to investigate Masebo after Harrington petitioned the acting Chief Justice.

Masebo has since lost her job although her backers refused to admit she had breached the law.

Her successor has dissolved the board and appointed a new one and has publicly said she is cleaning up the mess left by her predecessor.
