Three members of the same family have been axed to death in Chongwe.
Police deputy spokesperson Charity Chanda has said the deceased Vincent Tembo died along with his two children while his wife survived the attack.
She said the incident that happened in Libuko village around 01:00 hours is suspected to be a crime of passion as the suspect the who is an ex-convict is alleged to have had an affair with the deceased wife, Memory.
The bodies are awaiting postmortem while Memory is still recovering in hospital. Chanda said police have since launched a manhunt for the assailant
