The FAZ Appeals Committee has reportedly given football administrator Simataa Simataa a temporary reprieve following a life ban imposed on him.
According to bolazambia.com, Football House is already scheming to bring Simataa before the Anthony Kasolo led Disciplinary Committee on fresh charges.
Simataa confirmed that the ban had been lifted and that the Appeals Committee had communicated to him via email.
The Appeals Committee sat on Sunday and quashed the Kasolo imposed life ban that had sent shock waves in the football community.
Simataa, a former FAZ President and owner of Mtendere Community Football Club that is the successor of Makumbi, Unza Stars and Amakumbi Stars that have been the trademark of lifelong love for football said he had been advised to go and pick up the ruling.
However, sources have told bolazambia.com that FAZ would soon impose fresh charges against Simataa and have indicated that the “ban has not been lifted but set aside”.
Bans have become a tool at the hands of Football House to sort out perceived enemies with TP Mazembe representative Andre Mtine also having endured a ban until he went to court.
The Appeals Committee is headed by Lusaka lawyer Mumba Kapumpa who was recently conferred with the lofty status of State Counsel.
