Government officials in Chinsali district have no accommodation and offices to operate from, a source has revealed.
In an interview, a government source who refused to be named said most of the government officials were accommodated in lodges as they wait for houses to be built for them in the new Muchinga Provincial Capital.
The source said they were not aware of how long they would continue staying in lodges.
“Chinsali has a serious challenge with accommodation. As I am speaking to you, some of the government department heads are being accommodated in lodges. Of course, there are plans to build houses for us but we don’t know when that will be done,” the source said. “We hope this will be done soon because some of the lodges have been turned into offices.”
