The case in which President Michael Sata has sued privately owned Daily Nation editor Richard Sakala has been adjourned to tomorrow.

President Sata has sued Sakala and former University of Zambia lecturer Choolwe Beyani for an article which appeared in the Daily Nation where the duo alleged that the Head of State was was shielding his puppeteers Fred M’membe and Director of Public Prosecutions MUtembo Nchito from prosecution.

The High Court was due to make a ruling on the claim that Lusaka lawyer Vincent Malambo was erroneously removed from the case as President Sata told the court that the State Counsel was removed for alleged incompetence.

President Sata now faces the possibility of being cross examined in court after his personal testimony waived his immunity.
Lusaka lawyer Erick Silwamba told the High Court that President Sata waived his immunity the moment he took a private legal suit against a citizen.
