Lusaka High Court judge Jane Kabuka will today hear the injunction filed by expelled MMD national secretary Major Richard Kachingwe to restrain party president Dr Nevers Mumba from performing his duties.
Judge Kabuka will preside over the inter-party hearing before deciding whether to grant the injunction against Dr Mumba or not.
Maj Kachingwe yesterday filed an injunction to restrain Dr Mumba from performing his duties after he was hounded out of the party secretariat on Saturday for creating confusion in MMD.
He has argued Dr Mumba is still registered as a Republican Party at the Registrar of Societies and that he does not qualify to be MMD president.
MMD youths embarrassingly hounded Maj Kachingwe out of the party secretariat when he held a PF sponsored press briefing in a failed attempt to invalidate Dr Mumba’s election.
