Statesman Rupiah Visits Kazimu Sata

Rupiah BandaFourth Republican President Rupiah Banda showed his statesmanly side by visiting President Michael Sata’s accident surviving son Kazim at Milpark Hospital in South Africa.

Banda, who lost power to President Sata and has been dragged to court by his successor for a litany of offences he reckons are politically motivated encouraged the family in their troubled times.

Kazimu sustained injuries on the Copperbelt last Tuesday when he was travelling from Solwezi in the company of Steven Kawandami, Musambachime Muyofu and some security personnel.

He was evacuated to South Africa for specialist treatment while the other victim Masambachime, was belatedly airlifted after it some eyebrows were raised via online whistle blowers.

The former head of State was relieved to find that Kazimu was making steady progress. He wished him, and the other two accident victims still in hospital, God’s blessings.

Banda arrived at the hospital around mid-day and was received by Kazimu’s mother and his wife, Tiwonge, who were by the bedside.

The former president, who was accompanied to the hospital by his administrative assistant Mikatazo Wakumelo, also visited former Indeco director Brian Moyo.
