President Michael Sata will miss the Agriculture and Commercial Show for the third straight occasion since taking over power.
President Sata has consistently shunned the Agriculture and Commercial Show, an event that traditionally is used to hint at any major agricultural policy pronouncements.
It has also been an occasion at which internationalist ties have been showcased with foreign Heads of State of Prime Ministers officiating in solidarity with Zambia.
However, under President it has been glossed over with usually the Minister of Agriculture the high profile dignitary at the event.
And MMD Mumbwa Member of Parliament Doctor Brian Chituwo said the reduction in interest in the show was a sign of the disillusionment by people in the way agriculture was being handled.
Chituwo said that there was chaos in the manner the marketing season and input delivery system was being handled under the current administration.
