Miles SampaPatriotic Front Matero Member of Parliament Miles Sampa has denied suggestions he is using his donations to kick start his presidential bid.

Sampa, who is also deputy commerce minister, has launched a taxi loan project that he initially confined to his constituency after getting a loan from Indo-Zambia Bank using his Parliamentary gratuity as collateral.

He also disclosed that President Michael Sata had also queried him about where he was getting the money from and Sampa said he had explained to the Head of State.

Sampa, who was hazy on the subject, said there was no vacancy at the top and therefore no need to campaign.

“There is no vacancy, the President is well and is working,” he said.

“Between you and me the President asked me about where this money is coming from and I explained. He is satisfied so there is no problem.”

He added: “I will leave those speculations to small minds while I continue working.”

Sampa has dished out 10 second hand Japanese disguised as loans although the taxi drivers will pay him K500 every weekend and will keep the vehicles only after two years.
