The Matter in which Holy fired bishop Dominic Nyondo is facing charges of defilement today took another twist when the matter came up for continued hearing.

And the Kitwe Magistrate Court has stayed the Bench Warrant of Holy Fire Ministries Bishop Dominic Nyondo, meaning he has been given time to avail himself voluntarily.

This is in a case in which Dominic Nyondo 45, of house number 853, Ipusukilo Township in Kitwe is alleged to have sexually abused nine female church members aged between 14 and 45 years on the grounds that he was removing demons from them.

Bishop Nyondo of Holy Fire Christian Ministry Church is charged with three counts of defilement, five of rape and one count of indecent assault.

The offences were allegedly committed between April 2010 and June 2014.

And when matter came up for continued hearing, the state prosecutor told the court that the accused Bishop is still at large and has not availed himself to the court.

The State Prosecutor said the warrant of arrest has not been executed yet because the accused is still at large.

The State Prosecutor applied that the Bench Warrant remains in force and be returnable on or before October 31st, 2014.

And in his ruling, Kitwe Magistrate court judge Daniel Musonda adjourned the matter to 31st October 2014 for continued hearing.

Meanwhile, the whereabouts of the accused bishop are not known after missing several court appearances.

Earlier last month rumours went round that the accused bishop had committed suicide after allegedly throwing himself in the Kafue River but to date police has not found his body and it is being believed that the accused fled out of the country.
