Sports Minister Chishimba Kambwili has said the ruling party is sitting on a time bomb by allowing youths in Kabwata to denounce senior party leaders like Given Lubinda.
Featureing on a Radio Phoenix programme this morning, Kambwili said the youths in Kabwata were being used by Lubinda’s enemies.
“I want to say this is a time bomb that we are sitting on and anytime it will erupt. We cannot allow a situation where hired youths in Kabwata drive round the city to denounce senior members of the party. This is embarrassing to the party leadership,” he said.
Kambwili who is also PF national youth chairperson said the youths should realise that the people who are hiring them will come back and haunt them.
Lubinda is accused of working with opposition parties against government.
Party national secretary Wynter Kabimba wrote to him demanding an explanation on the accusation which he did on Monday.
Lubinda has been in the Gambia since the accusations were leveled against him and he is expected to return tomorrow.
