SACCORD information officer Obby Chibulu has advised political parties to desist from washing dirty linen in public.
Chibulu said the pattern seen in the ruling PF where junior officers have started harassing senior leaders is not good for Zambia’s democracy.
Chibulu said the country risk creating a bad image if the behavior of political party supporters such as the PF will continue.
He said it is important for political parties to adhere to internal disciplinary structures and avoid bickering in public.
Of late, the PF has been embroiled in internal wrangles between the secretary general Wynter Kabimba and his senior party leaders. The cadres have since been influenced to rise against some senior leaders such as Given Lubinda whom they want to expel for allegedly leaking information to the public.
This has also drawn condemnation from other leaders such as sports minister Chishimba Kambwili who has called the cadres behavior as archaic, unacceptable and a time bomb to the party if it is tolerated.
