PF member Father Frank Bwalya says the way UPND leader Hakainde Hichilema is showing disrespect to the Zambian constitution in the cross-over of Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba gives a hint of how disrespectful he will be in an event he becomes president.
Fr Bwalya says, “the way HH has reasoned over the issue of GBM’s futile attempt to cling to his seat which he won on the PF ticket, in scandalous disregard of crystal clear constitutional provisions, speaks volumes about how he would behave as republican president (but he will not be).
“In fact the action by GBM to join them in the manner be has done has only added political capital within the membership of UPND. Otherwise many citizens are laughing at UPND and HH. Ku joina sitilesa koma ka joinidwe.”
GBM – the Kasama PF MP – finally quit the ruling party on Wednesday while sticking to his parliamentary seat to become UPND vice-president at a “press conference rally” in Lusaka.
