The MMD has exposed a PF strategy in which they have hidden formal documents that changed names of office bearers at the Registrar of Societies to create an impression that the former ruling party is disorganised.
This was after home affairs minister Edgar Lungu claimed that records at the Registrar of Societies office indicate that the president of MMD is former president Rupiah Banda while the national chairman is Michael Mabenga.
But Mbulakulima said the MMD has in possession valid receipts that indicate the payments and the list that was submitted for change of officer bearers. He said the photocopied receipt that has been submitted indicate that the president is Dr Nevers Sekwila Mumba while the national trustee is Kenneth Chipungu.
“The new list of office bearers was submitted immediately after the convention where elections were conducted. Why then should Mr Lungu go to retrieve records from 2011 and claim that they were the latest ones?
“We have this photocopy documents that we submitted while the Registrar of Societies remained with the original. Maybe they have pulled our latest records out so that they can leave no record on our file,” he said.
Lungu also claimed that the current records indicated that Dr Mumba is still Reform Party president while the chairperson is Eva Sanderson. He said this is the reason why he has been calling on the MMD to put its house in order.
