Zambians are demanding to know the whereabouts of President Michael Sata after leaving the African Union Summit in Ethiopia early on Monday.
The whereabouts of the Head of State is a mystery to ordinary Zambians who are currently relying on online media.
Sources have reported that President Sata is undergoing medical reviews in the United Kingdom but government has blacked out the nation on his whereabouts. prompting speculations.
Speculations are that the President is shuttling between London and India for treatment but the development has not been brought to the attention of the public.
Some Zambian residents in the UK that have knowledge of President Sata in that country have confirmed that he is seeking medicals for a mysterious disease that has forced him to undergo an operation last year.
In March last year, President Sata underwent treatment at India’s Samved Hospital situated in Navrangpura area.
“Why can’t the truth be told as it were?” a disappointed Zambian Bwalya Chisanga asked on the location of the Head of State five days after representing the country at an official African meeting.
Simunji Hantombi said when in the opposition, President Sata used to viciously attack late president, Levy Mwanawasa and former president Rupiah Banda for seeking medical treatment outside the country.
At one time, President Sata even called on the Chief Justice to constitute a medical tribunal against late president Mwanawasa who he claimed was not suitable to continue ruling on account of his medical condition.
