The non governmental organisation, Foundation for Democratic Process (FODEP), has implored President Michael Sata to tally his international reputation with the governance system in the country.

According to FODEP executive director McDonald Chipenzi, it is regrettable that PF cadres chose to be unruly at the funeral of a dignified person such as Mama Betty Kaunda, when its leader who claims good governance is condoning their behaviour.

Chipenzi has wondered why the Zambia Police has not acted swiftly on the PF cadres that caused commotion two weeks after they were also seen in police vehicles carrying machetes to disrupt an opposition rally.

Chipenzi has added that failure by President Sata to ensure that the tenets of good governance and democracy in the country will raise suspicion on the award for good leadership.

President Sata is in New York to attend the United Nations 67th General Assembly were he is reported to be awarded recognition of good leadership. President Sata will also give a speech on good governance and democracy although Zambia has recently scene a wave of intolerance.
