Opposition United Party for National Development-UPND-has joined other political parties in the country calling for an immediate establishment of a commission on an anticipated national referendum of the new draft constitution.
UPND Deputy Secretary General Kuchunga Simusamba says establishing of a commission now that the National Constitution Convention is complete will help kick start the preparations for hosting the anticipated national referendum on the new constitution.
Simusamba also notes that instituting of a referendum commission will further demonstrate the political will of the Patriotic Front government to respect the wishes of people in the new draft constitution.
