National Restoration Party (NAREP) president Elias Chipimo junior has challenged President Michael Sata to live up to his campaign promises and reject any further defections of opposition Members of Parliament who are joining the ruling Patriotic Front.
Speaking during a media briefing this morning, Mr. Chipimo said it would be wise for president Sata and his administration to help the Zambian people by sticking to their manifesto for the betterment of the country.
Chipimo stated that Zambia had amazing chance to take great strides in development and thereby creating a need for the PF government to utilize the opportunity to seriously develop the nation.
And Chipimo also says that his arrest by the police on Thursday on the Copperbelt was a simple baptism which all politicians had gotten used to in the country.
He however noted that there is need for the police in the country to conduct its duties professionally whenever they were on duty.
The NAREP president further noted that his party is currently waiting to hear from the Home Affairs Minister to inform it exactly what transpired and that his party will also query compensation of thirty million kwacha that was used to organize the meeting in Ndola that was interrupted by the Police.
