Zambia One Down on FIFA Monthly Chart

chipolopoZambia has slipped further down on the FIFA/Coca-Cola World rankings occupying 46th slot on the global stage and seventh on the African continent.

The Chipolopolo, who have struggled to replicate their 2012 Africa Cup winning form, has been in free fall since returning from the 2012 event.

According to bolazambia, Herve Renard’s lads were 45th last month and now occupy position 46 on the global chart but remain number 7 in Africa.

Cote d’Ivoire is the highest ranked African team on 12 place and take the first slot.

Zambia’s opponents in next month’s Brazil 2014 World Cup qualifier on June 7 Lesotho have risen by one notch becoming number 41 on the African continent and 155 in the world.

Things remain unchanged at the top in Africa with Cote d’Ivoire occupying top spot while Ghana lies second with Mali being the third ranked team.

Reigning African champions Nigeria have risen by a notch to be in fourth place. Spain remains in command position on the global stage with Argentina and Croatia surprisingly being in third place.
