The Non governmental Organization Coordinating Council (NGOCC) has called for increased conceited effort to address the issue of continued arrest of women trafficking in illicit drugs.
NGOCC Executive Director Engwase Mwale noted that her organization is concerned with the continued reports of women being arrested for drug trafficking in the country.
Ms Mwale says the continued engagement of women in drug traffic which is mainly attributed to poverty is a wake up call for government and other stakeholders in the country to address the issue of poverty.
She said there is also need for intensified campaigns against drug trafficking in order completely CURB the vice in the country.
