Zanaco midfielder Roderick Kabwe is a doubt for Saturday’s international friendly against Namibia after limping off the pitch during the local national team players’ training this morning at Nkoloma Stadium.
Kabwe is one of the 24 players summoned by Herve Renard as he hopes to assess local players for possible inclusion in the sqaud that will face Lesotho and Sudan on June 8 and 15 respectively at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium.
He was named in Herve Renard’s senior squad that travelled to Lesotho for the Brazil 2014 qualifier in Maseru on March 24.
The 23 year old was hacked by teammate Salulani Phiri and will be due for a scan later today to assess the damage done to his knee that has locked.
Meanwhile Renard had a full house this morning as Zesco United players who missed the first session joined today’s work out.
Khondwani Mtonga, Kabwe Chileshe and Maybin were part of the session.
Zambia will also carry an Under-20 side that will engage that country on Friday night.
Travel arrangemments are not yet finalised but the team is likely to leave tomorrow by road.
