The Zambia World Life Association has arrested nine suspected poachers among them a police inspector who had attempted to courier 27 Kilogrammes in the Mulobezi Game Management area of the Western Province.
ZAWA Board Chairman Guy Robinson said the consignment that was headed to China comprised 27 Kilogrammes of elephant tasks said to have been harvested from protected areas.
The consignment has been pegged at US$140, 000 dollars. Tourism minister Sylvia Masebo has installed a new board to have control on the game reserves in the country.
