A rampaging rabid dog has bitten 22 people in Kitwe infecting them with rabies.
The dog, whose spontaneous appearance has caused panic among the residents, is yet to be gunned down.
Copperbelt Provincial Medical office Dr Mutemwa Alisheke confirmed the attacks and said all the 22 had been put on medication.
He urged the residents to be vigilant to avoid being attacked. The dog has been at large for a week and its last attack was in Buchi.
