The Drug Enforcement Commission -DEC- has picked up three pupils from Nchelenge Secondary School for trafficking in over 600 grams of loose cannabis.
The three have been identified as Agrippa Kabwe, Joblin Chipili and Milon Musonda.
A ZANIS crew that rushed to Nchelenge Secondary School on Monday found DEC and Police Officers screening Milon and Joblin.
And one of the Teachers spoken to by ZANIS bemoaned the high rate of drug abuse among pupils at the School.
The three School pupils have been detained at Nchelenge Police Station to help with investigations.
Meanwhile, a team of Security personnel that conducted a search in both girls and boys dormitories at Nchelenge Secondary School discovered some charms in the lockers of some pupils.
Efforts to get a comment from the office of the Luapula Province Education Officer, Jessy Banda proved futile as she was reported to be in Lusaka attending a meeting.
